Join us for an unforgettable cycling holiday and experience the 2026 Girona Cyclocross Race Week. This unique trip blends the excitement of regional level Spanish cyclocross racing with the magic of Girona – a city recognised as the European capital of cycling and throughout the world as one of THE places for cyclists to visit.
Delivered in partnership with Tactic UK and timed to coincide with October half-term, the Girona Cyclocross Race Week begins when we meet you at Girona Airport and transfer you to your Hotel which right in the heart of the city, on the edge of the the Old Town.
From your doorstep, you’ll be surrounded by a thriving cycling community, with cafés, restaurants and bike shops frequented daily by some of the biggest names in the sport. Many World Tour professionals, past and present, call Girona home, drawn here by its year-round sunshine, varied terrain, and strong cycling culture.
Throughout the Girona Cyclocross Race Week we’ll take you to the best cycling cafes, guide you on spectacular rides through rolling countryside, hidden valleys and iconic climbs like Els Àngels and the legendary Rocacorba – routes that form the backbone of professional training programmes. Don’t be surprised if you find yourself sharing the road (or even a café stop) with Tour de France contenders, Classics winners, or reigning world champions.
On race day, we’ll take you by bus to the race venue, where you will get the opportunity to test yourself against national level Spanish riders in your age group. The course features a circle of doom, sandpits, bridges and a tunnel and has a sandy base – the complete opposite of those in the UK, so expect a fast and technical race.
Juniors and adults will race on the Saturday evening in a Halloween themed floodlit race with bonfires, smoke and flames whilst riders aged 16 and under will race on Sunday morning.
A £250 deposit secures your place, with the balance due six weeks before the trip. Payment can be made in full via secure card payment or monthly direct debit.
Please note: As of January 5th 2026, the exact date of the Cyclocross races have not been confirmed. We understand from the organisers that they are expected to be on Saturday 31st October and Sunday 1st November. If you would like to travel from Monday to Monday we can accommodate this and this can be discussed when you book.
Girona Cyclocross Week Sample Itinerary:*
Sunday October 25th – Arrivals at Hotel in central Girona. Welcome ride to local village cafe.
Monday October 26th – Morning Ride into the Girona Lanes. 42 miles, 700m.
Tuesday October 27th – Morning Ride to Banyoles and Rocacorba. 48 miles, 1300m.
Wednesday October 28th – Morning Ride to the hills east of Girona. 42 miles, 700m.
Thursday October 29th – Morning Ride to Angles and Susqueda Dam. 44 miles, 982m.
Friday October 30th – Morning Ride to Els Angels, Madremanya and Santa Pellaia. 40 miles, 875m
Saturday October 31st – Morning Ride to the coast at Tossa de Mar. 43 miles, 1200m. Race Day for Juniors and Seniors
Sunday November 1st – Morning Ride to the coast at Tossa de Mar. 43 miles, 1200m. Race Day for Youth riders
