This premium trip blends the excitement of UCI categorised cyclocross racing with the magic of Girona – guided rides on legendary professional training routes, extraordinary food and the unique atmosphere of a city where World Tour professionals train, eat and live.
Your Base
Forget the hotel. This year we have secured an exceptional private luxury villa overlooking Girona’s famous cathedral which is exclusively yours for the weekend. Set in beautiful gardens with a private pool, the villa sleeps the whole group and provides the perfect base for a cycling week that will feel more like a gathering of friends than a holiday.
A private chef service is available on request. A physiotherapist and masseur can be arranged to come to the villa. The cathedral views at sunset are, frankly, extraordinary.
The Experience
From the villa’s doorstep you are surrounded by one of the world’s greatest cycling communities. The cafés, routes and roads of Girona have been ridden by Tour de France winners, World Champions and Classics legends. Our guided rides take you along the same roads, through rolling countryside, hidden valleys and the famous Girona lanes, with qualified ride leaders throughout and GPX files for every route.
On race day our dedicated vehicle takes you and your bike to the race venue, where you compete against national level Spanish riders for UCI points in a C2 categorised event. The course features a circle of doom, sandpits, bridges, a tunnel and a sandy base, fast, technical and completely unlike anything you will find at home.
Juniors and adults race on Saturday evening in a dramatic floodlit night race with bonfires, smoke and flames. Youth riders aged 16 and under race on Sunday morning.
Itinerary
Thursday 12th November: Arrivals
Meet at Barcelona Airport, private transfer to the villa in Girona. Check in, settle in and enjoy an optional 2 hour activation ride through the city.
Friday 13th November:Els Angels
Morning guided ride up and over Girona’s famous El’s Angels climb. 42 miles, 700m climbing. Afternoon free to explore the city, visit the cycling cafés and prepare for race weekend.
Saturday 14th November: Race Day
Race day for Juniors and Seniors: floodlit night race with bonfires, smoke and flames.
Sunday 15th November: Race Day
Race day for Youth riders or coffee ride into the hills. Full group celebration dinner at the villa in the evening.
Monday 16th November: Farewells
Breakfast at the villa. Final goodbyes. Transfer to Barcelona Airport.
